BOTOX® (or Botulinum Toxin) Treatment
Wrinkles are lines or creases that form on our skin as a result of several causes. These include exposure to sunlight, smoking cigarettes, repeated contraction of our facial muscles over time and other natural changes that occur to our skin with age. Skin gradually loses elasticity and becomes thinner with less volume.
Botox® or Botulinum Toxin, works by reversibly relaxing the muscles below the skin’s surface. The effects will gradually show over the course of seven to ten days following injection. The resulting smoothness and reduction of wrinkles can last up to three or four months. The following are treatment areas we are currently providing:
Horizontal Forehead Lines
Horizontal forehead lines are the long creases that develop across the forehead, often in rows. This treatment has the most dramatic effect of the injections being offered.
Frown Lines
Frown lines are the vertical lines that form in the center of your forehead between the eyebrows and also include the horizontal “squinch” lines above the nose between the eyebrows.
Crow Feet
Crows feet are the wrinkles that radiate outwards from the outer edge of the eyes.
Marionette Lines
Marionette lines are found extending from the edges of the mouth down towards the jawline. These often will be associated with down turned corners of the mouth.
